आराइन
आराईं (آرائیں, Arain) पंजाब और कुछ हद तक सिंध में बसने वाली एक जाति है। आराईं ज़्यादातर कृषि में जुटे हुए हैं और पारम्परिक रूप से अपनी खेती के स्वयं स्वामी रहे हैं। भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप में इस्लाम आने के पश्चात ये लगभग सभी मुसलमान हो गए। फिर भी इनकी हिन्दू कम्बोह लोगों के साथ सजातीयता रही है जो उनके सांझे पारिवारिक नामों में झलकती है। आराइंयों की कुल जनसँख्या लगभग १ करोड़ अनुमानित की गई है।[1]
