चुवाश भाषा

चुवाशी (चुवाशी: Чӑвашла, चवाश्ला; अंग्रेज़ी: Chuvash) यूरोपीय रूस में बोली जाने वाली एक तुर्की भाषा है। यह चुवाश गणतंत्र और उसके पड़ोसी क्षेत्रों में बोली जाती है और तुर्की भाषा-परिवार की ओग़ुर शाखा की इकलौती जीवित भाषा है (शेष विलुप्त हो चुकी हैं)। चुवाशी तुर्की परिवार में निराली है क्योंकि अपनी एक अलग शाखा में होने के कारण इसमें और अन्य जीवित तुर्की भाषाओँ में बहुत अन्तर है और उनको बोलने वाले चुवाशी नहीं समझ सकते। चुवाशी सिरिलिक लिपि में लिखी जाती है। इसे सन् २००२ की जनगणना में १६.४ लाख लोगों ने अपनी मातृभाषा बताया था।^[1]^[2]
