सिमरनजीत सिंह मान

भारतीय राजनीतिज्ञ

सिमरनजीत सिंह मान (जन्म 20 मई 1945)[1] एक अलगाववादी राजनेता और 2022 से संगरूर के निर्वाचन क्षेत्र का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले सांसद हैं।[2][3][4] वह राजनीतिक दल शिरोमणि अकाली दल (अमृतसर) के अध्यक्ष हैं। मान तीन बार के सांसद हैं; एक बार तरण तरन से 1989 और 1991 के बीच, और दो बार संगरूर में 1999-2004 के बीच और 2022 के बाद से।[5][6]

प्रारंभिक जीवन संपादित करें

1945 में शिमला में जन्मे, वह एक सैन्य-राजनीतिक पृष्ठभूमि से आते हैं। उनके पिता, लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल जोगिंदर सिंह मान 1967 में पंजाब विधानसभा के स्पीकर थे।[7] उन्होंने गीतिंदर कौर मान से शादी की है।[8] मान की पत्नी और पंजाब के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अमरिंदर सिंह की पत्नी परनीत कौर बहनें हैं।[9]

उन्होंने बिशप कॉटन स्कूल, शिमला और गवर्नमेंट कॉलेज चंडीगढ़ में शिक्षा प्राप्त की। वह "इतिहास", "पंजाबी", "धर्म" और "राजनीति विज्ञान" विषयों में स्वर्ण पदक विजेता थे।[1]
