स्विट्ज़रलैंड के कैन्टन

स्विट्ज़रलैंड के २६ कैन्टन​ (Cantons of Switzerland) स्विट्ज़रलैंड की संघीय व्यवस्था के सदस्य राज्य हैं, यानि उस देश के सर्वोच्च प्रशासनिक विभाग हैं। सन् १६४८ की वेस्टफ़ालिया संधि से लेकर १८४८ में स्विस संघीय राज्य की स्थापना तक यह कैन्टन लगभग आज़ाद राष्ट्रों जैसे अधिकार रखते थे - सब की अलग सेनाएँ थी, अपनी अलग मुद्रा थी और सभी अपनी सीमाओं पर स्वतन्त्र देशों जैसा पहरा तैनात करके उनकी रखवाली करते थे। सबसे नया कैन्टन 'जूरा कैन्टन' है जो १९७९ में 'बर्न कैन्टन' को विभाजित करके गठित किया गया।[1][2]
