चराईदेव
चराईदेव मेडाम (চৰাইদেউ) भारत के असम राज्य के चराईदेव ज़िले में स्थित एक ऐतिहासिक स्थल है। यह मध्यकालीन आहोम साम्राज्य की सर्वप्रथम राजधानी थी, जिसे सन् 1253 में राजवंश के संस्थापक छो लुंग सुकफा ने बसाया था। आहोम साम्राज्य लगभग 600 वर्षों तक अस्तित्व में था, जिस दौरान राजधानी को कई बार बदला गया लेकिन चराईदेव का महत्व बना रहा। आधुनिक काल में आहोम शाही परिवार की समाधियाँ, जो मैदाम (मोईदाम) कहलाती हैं, इस स्थान पर देखी जा सकती हैं और उनका असम व भारत के इतिहास में स्थान बना हुआ है।[1][2][3][4][5]
