मनन जोशी मूल रूप से गुजरात के रहने वाले हैं।[3] अभिनय में अपना करियर बनाने से पहले, जोशी ने श्री भागुभाई मफतलाल पॉलिटेक्निक, मुंबई से इंजीनियरिंग की पढ़ाई की और मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग में बी.टेक पूरा किया।[4]इंजीनियरिंग के बाद उन्होंने थिएटर और कई कार्यशालाओं में भाग लिया, और नाटक और संगीत लिखे।[5]

जोशी ने अभिनेता बनने के बारे में कभी नहीं सोचा था, जब तक कि उनके गरबा प्रदर्शन को देखने के बाद एक कास्टिंग एजेंट ने उन्हें नहीं बुलाया, जिसके बाद उन्होंने कई विज्ञापनों में काम किया।[6] उन्होंने 2017 में स्टार भारत श्रृंखला काल भैरव रहस्य में शमशेर के रूप में टेलीविजन पर अपनी शुरुआत की।[7] बाद में, 2019 में, उन्होंने गुड्डन तुमसे ना हो पाएगा में रॉकी चौबे की भूमिका निभाई, जिसके लिए उन्हें काफी आलोचनात्मक प्रशंसा मिली।[8]
