PLANT DESCRIPTION
A moderate sized evergreen tree grows up to 25 meters in height. Leaves simple, alternate, long petioled, shiny, aromatic, acuminate, ovate or oblong; flowers yellowish white, found in axillary panicles; fruits dark green globose, turns dark brown on ripening. Camphor is obtained from the distillation of bark and leaves.
