'''बातु ख़ान''' (<small>[[मंगोल भाषा|मंगोल]]: Бат Хаан, बात ख़ान; [[अंग्रेजी]]: Batu Khan;</small>; जन्म: १२०७ ई अनुमानित; देहांत: १२५५ ई) एक [[मंगोल]] शासक था और [[सुनहरा उर्दू]] नामक साम्राज्य का संस्थापक था जो [[मंगोल साम्राज्य]] के अधीन एक [[ख़ानत]] थी। बातु ख़ान [[जोची ख़ान]] का पुत्र और मंगोल साम्राज्य के संस्थापक [[चंगेज़ ख़ान]] का पोता था। 'बातु' या 'बात' शब्द का अर्थ [[मंगोल भाषा]] में 'कड़ा' या 'दृढ़' होता है। उसके द्वारा शुरू किये गए साम्राज्य का [[रूस]], पूर्वी [[यूरोप]] और [[कॉकस]] के बड़े भाग पर लम्बे अरसे तक राज रहा। चंगेज़ ख़ान के पुत्रों कि मृत्य के बाद बातु ख़ान ही उस साम्राज्य का सबसे आदरणीय राजकुंवर बना और उसे 'आग़ा' (अर्थ: बड़े भाईसाहब) के नाम से जाना जाता था।<ref name="ref86feqoz">[http://books.google.com/books?id=AZdK54YuEPsC The Mongols], David Morgan, John Wiley &amp; Sons, 2007, ISBN 978-1-4051-3539-9, ''...
