The Hindustan Turbo Trainer (HTT-40) took to the skies for the first time successfully on 31 May 2016. It was piloted by Group Capt and Chief Test Pilot, HAL. The flight lasted for about 30 minutes & then lands safe after its maiden flight. This is a "Smooth take-off & landing," says an engineer of HAL.<ref
