It is situated in Bodhgaya just 14 km south from the Gaya district headquarter .It was established by eminent educationist Late Satyendra Narain Sinha 1n 1962.it has the destinctive past in rendering high quality education in allmost allfield .there are about 250 colleges are affliated with this university . surprisingly in patna all most all colleges of the town are affliated to magadh university except 8 which are under patna university
