प्रतीक के माता-पिता पेशे से शिक्षक हैं। उन्होंने टेलीविजन और थिएटर अभिनेत्री भामिनी ओझा से 2009 में शादी की थी। उनकी एक बेटी है जिनका नाम मिराया है और उनका जन्म 2014 में हुआ था। उनके छोटे भाई का नाम पुनीत गांधी है, जो पेशे से एक डिजाइनर है, लेकिन उन्होंने ''लव नी भवई'' के गाने "अठैदा करे चे" में आवाज दी।
