ज़रीन ने अपना पहला स्वर्ण पदक 2010 में नेशनल सब जूनियर मीट में जीता। उसके बाद तुर्की में 2011 के महिला जूनियर और यूथ वर्ल्ड बॉक्सिंग चैंपियनशिप में उन्हें फ्लाइवेट डिवीज़न में अपना पहला अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्वर्ण पदक मिला। ज़रीन का तुर्की में मुक्केबाज़ उलकू डेमीर से मुक़ाबला था, जिसे उन्होंने 27:19 स्कोर के साथ तीन राउंड के बाद ही जीत लिया।<ref name=":0" />
