क्लेममेंसेन रिडक्शन
क्लीमेन्सन अपचयन (Clemmensen reduction) १९१२ ई. में एरिक क्रिस्चन क्लेमेंसन द्वारा खोजी गई एक अपचयन अभिक्रिया है। इस अभिक्रिया में ऐल्डिहाइड एवं कीटोनों को एल्केन समूह में बदला जा सकता है। एल्डिहाइड एवं कीटोन का कार्बोनिल समूह अमलगमित जिंक एवं सांद्र हाइड्रोक्लोरिक अम्ल द्वारा अभिक्रिया के साथ गरम करने पर एल्केन समूह में परिवर्तित हो जाते हैं।[1][2][3] इस अभिक्रिया का नाम डैनिश रसायनज्ञ एरिक क्रिश्चियन क्लीमेन्सन के नाम पर पड़ा है।[4]
