माफ़िया या माफिया एक अनौपचारिक शब्द है जिसका इस्तेमाल उन आपराधिक संगठनों के तरफ इशारा करने के लिए किया जाता है जो असली माफिया, इतालवी माफिया, से मज़बूत समानता रखते हैं। इस तरह के संगठन का केंद्रीय काम अपराधियों के बीच विवादों की मध्यस्थता के साथ-साथ हिंसा के इस्तेमाल या धमकी से अपराधियों के बीच अवैध समझौतों बनाना होता है। माफिया अक्सर जुए, कर्ज़ जाल, नशा तस्करी, शरीर व्यापार, और धोखाधड़ी जैसे काम से भी जुड़े होते हैं। [1][2][3]
