फरीदकोट (Faridkot) भारत के पंजाब राज्य के फरीदकोट ज़िले में स्थित एक नगर है। यह ज़िले का मुख्यालय भी है[1][2][3][4]

शहर पंजाब राज्य के दक्षिणपश्चिम में स्थित है। इसका नाम 13वीं शताब्दी के सूफ़ी संत फ़रीदुद्दीन गंजशकर पर रखा गया है, जिन्हें "बाबा फरीद" कहा जाता था। शहर की स्थापना उस से पहले हो चुकी थी और इसका मूल नाम मोकलहार था, जो कि स्थानीय राजपूत राजा मोकलसी पर रखा गया था। राजा मोकलसी राजस्थान के भटनेर क्षेत्र (जो अब हनुमानगढ़ कहलाता है) के भट्टी मुखिया, राय मुंज, के पौत्र थे।[5]
