Have solved your problem. Please keep in mind to atleast complete the article to its minimal requirement. You just add infobox to the article and leave it. See this स्पाइडर-मैन २. There is no such real thing like "Right to Free Educational resources" since it categories it as a right. Wiki is an encyclopedia so you have to write about encyclopedic content, no original resources. As I see you are interested in creating education related article you can find them on English wiki and can translate them to Hindi wiki. I can provide you links to create those pages so that you can carry on with your interest. I would've registered but I don't speak Hindi. I just thought this page could use more content/context. And maybe a plot? Infobox Merges and Images

Two points I've been meaning to tell you since some time but somehow keep forgetting:

1. When you performed the merge for the infobox for books, you simply redirected the hindi name to the english one. You forgot to check if the parameters were the same. In this case, they weren't. This resulted in dozens of infoboxes on articles blanking out since the parameter support for hindi parameters was gone. It also resulted in dozens of unused fair use images. So, next time you merge two infoboxes, keep in mind to check for different parameter names.
2. Since you are currently the most frequent uploader of fair-use images, I think you should try to upload images with fair-use rationales in hindi. Also, if over time you decide on a particular language, you could possibly fix the default languages in the fair-use templates.

CSD templates...

... are ready, just as I'd said way back on 10 dec. Its taken a long time, but the new system is almost complete, the only major remaining template being {{db-multiple}} and its notification. Rest of the deletion tags are ready along with their notification templates (the list can be seen at साँचा:शीघ्र हटाने सम्बंधित साँचे) so there's no need to translate the original templates anymore. Any comments regarding the new templates are welcome. If there are no problems with the new templates, I'll begin work on modifying Twinkle to use the new templates (I couldn't do that while making the templates, so it'll be some time before twinkle shifts to these, but manual tagging can be shifted to these templates right away.) Yeah, I noticed you'd re-begun translating the templates. That's why I wanted to notify you first.

Just to note, db-multiple should be created at {{शीह-अनेक}} (don't move {{Db-multiple}} to it, instead create a parallel template for the same purpose), like the rest of the template series. And it'd be better/easier if we focus more on getting the templates to work similarly rather than just translating them. Trying to understand someone else's coding is a lot tougher than creating your own.

I'd like to add here that as and when the new templates come into complete effect, the old templates should be deleted. This means that any template which doesn't have a criteria under वि:हटाना (such as G1: no context) will no longer have a specific template, or an option in twinkle. They'll either have to be done with वि:पृष्ठ हटाने हेतु चर्चा, or using {{शीह-कारण}}. The old templates for criteria which are not present on hi-wp, are, in their present form, blatant violations of policy. And even though we don't have a CSD criteria for that, we should still delete them/redirect them to the new templates (taking care of the parameters used).--सिद्धार्थ घई (वार्ता) 13:14, 9 फ़रवरी 2012 (UTC)

Stuff to note:

• {{Db-multiple}} works based on {{Db-meta}}, but it can't work on {{शीह-मूल}} (which is only for making single-criteria templates), so there's no point translating it. I've begun work on {{शीह-अनेक}} (offline) and will fix it in a day or two. So, leave that one to me :)
• Secondly, since we don't have a criteria for speedy deletion of talk pages, the new templates are made in such a way that placing the template on the talkpage of a protected page is equal to placing it on the page itself (basically, the subjectspace is to be considered nominated for CSD). This gives users the right to be able to get to nominate protected pages for CSD, even if they can't edit those pages.
• Thirdly, twinkle updation will take time (it may be a week, it may be 2 weeks, it may be more...); so until then, whichever old templates take input the same way as the new ones can be redirected (so that twinkle users can get atleast some new templates till it is updated to entirely use the new ones).

Here's a few questions:

• Currently, the CSD tab offers the option to directly delete pages only to sysops and not to eliminators (उत्पात नियंत्रक) and editprotected users (वरिष्ठ सदस्य). Should this (simple deletions only, not batch deletions) be enabled for these groups? Or if we wanna make the "one person tags, another deletes" practice a permanent one, should direct deletion via twinkle be disabled for all (including sysops)? (I personally favor the former.)
• At en-wp, when attack pages are tagged for csd using TW, they're blanked. This could be done for other tags too. Should this be implemented for copyvios? The validity of the nomination will have to be checked through the history then, but it might come in useful during periods of low activity (we don't want a tagged copyvio staying live-on-wiki for a week, do we? Doesn't really look good for the project.)
• If no-one opposes, I'll let the criteria "Deletion of talk pages of deleted pages" remain in TW; since though we don't have an official criteria for that, it is in the dropdown reasons for deletion, and its pretty uncontroversial.
• Since we have a smaller criteria list than en-wp, and the criteria defined in the DI tab are covered as follows, should the DI tab be disabled, since our CSD can be covered in the CSD tab alone?
  • F4 --> फ़1
  • F5 --> फ़3
  • F6 is included in व6फ़
  • F7 is partially covered under फ़5 (replaceable images), but we don't have a CSD for the rest
  • F11 doesn't come under व6फ़, but can be(?) considered to be covered under the blanket ban of व6

Oh, and; should I replace "TW" with "ट्विंकल" or "ट्वि" or "ट्विं" or "ट्विङ्" or "ट्विङ"? "ट्विंकल" would be along the lines of what bengali wikipedia is doing. I do plan to replace the tab headings with hindi over time. So is the translation of the main heading (TW) preferable? This can also be done in the edit-summaries by the way, but "ट्वि" (the shortest hindi option) would require 4 characters as opposed to the two in TW. Does anyone have any objections to removing any disabled modules (such as the closer module, and if consensus is gained, the DI module) from the on-wiki twinkle? I'd keep the disabled modules at github for possible future use; but being a low-speed connection user, I'd like to save as much of my bandwidth as I can (including by removing disabled mods from the onwiki version of TW). I don't think the present procedure for deleting pages for an only-eliminator editor like me is too cumbersome. Infact, it's a good thing as the chances of accidently deleting a page (if it becomes one-click) are significantly reduced. However, other editors might have different views. Also, IMO the "one person tags, another deletes" should remain an unwritten convention and not a rule per say, for there are occasions when the page should better immediately go and avoid wastage of one extra editor's crucial time in today's world! However, sysops can continue to retain direct deletion via twinkle. Let's place some trust on such senior editors!

I'm afraid this should be done only if placing csd templates is enabled only for auto-reviewed editors or something like that. Else, it can become a potential weapon for vandalism by helping in blanking out the article. Sorry. Seems like both me and you were trying to upload the एक दीवाना था poster at the same time and same filename! But, both of our posters have a problem. They have the site's watermark which should not be there ideally, as has been marked on en.wiki. Can you think of a solution. Regarding Movie Title

I really don't understand why we should not create movie title like this. रा-वन (२०११ फ़िल्म) - this is correct one in my opinion. If we need to have just the name. We can redirect to page with year in title. This will help in future too when same movie names are used and it might create ambiguity. At least this way... we are consistent. I have created so many pages for movies in the past and I sincerely believe that having the year name in the title does not hurt. It instead helps. रा-वन => Redirecting to => रा-वन (२०११ फ़िल्म) which solves both issues.

I also disagreed with Mr Siddhartha's view of removing ( ) and putting , in the movie name. It simply does not make sense. I can understand that we can use hindi numbers ... but that's also going a little too far.

Ideally... a Movie like the one suggested above can have following pages associated... Main Page -> रा-वन (२०११ फ़िल्म) Other Pages that might redirect to main page... -> रा-वन, रा-वन (2011 फ़िल्म), रा-वन (2011 चलचित्र), रा-वन (२०११ चलचित्र) and other similar names...

The thing is, we should follow the convention that year should only be added to the film title if another film with the same name already exists. For example there is only one film in the world with the title रा-वन so there is no need to add the (२०११ फ़िल्म) in its title. Moreover users search films with only name and not year, and since Hindi wiki pages are shown in search on Google and Yahoo! the title रा-वन (2011 फ़िल्म) is least likely to be searched. Siddhartha and I have discussed about using ( ) and ,, it was merely a bot's fault and it has been corrected. Convention is to use brackets only. आशू^{बातकरें} 08:34, 18 फ़रवरी 2012 (UTC)

@Manish: Just to point out, I never said we should add , instead of (). I actually agreed (and still agree) with you on having () and not , in between. The () to , conversion took place when Anirudh was doing the bot moves and couldn't use hindi numerals with a ( due to the titleblacklist. So, he moved the pages to १२३४ , (with a space in between).

Also, I'm not in favour of using nagari numerals as I've clarified enough at the village pump.

नमस्कार, आपने वार्ता:टोह लेना पर लिखा था कि लेख को सामरिक पर्यवेक्षण में मिलाने के बाद हटा दिया जाना चाहिये। इस सन्दर्भ में आपको ये जानकारी देना चाहूँगा कि विलय के पश्चात भी कुछ लेखों को नहीं हटाया जा सकता। ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि विलय कॉपी-पेस्ट करके होता है जिसमें इतिहास नहीं कॉपी होता। ऐसे में पुराना पृष्ठ ही श्रेय का इतिहास (attribution history) प्रदान कर सकता है। इसलिए ऐसे पृष्ठों को रखना पड़ता है। जब तक की नए पृष्ठ के इतिहास में कॉपी की गई पूरी जानकारी के लेखकों के नाम नहीं डाले जाते, चाहे मैन्यूअली या फिर histmerge द्वारा; विलय करने के बाद भी लेखों को नहीं हटाया जा सकता। विकिपीडिया के terms of use के तहत यू.आर.एल या फिर सदस्यनाम द्वारा श्रेय देना अनिवार्य है। यदि ऐसे में सदस्यनाम कॉपी किये बिना पुराने पृष्ठ को हटा दिया जाए तो इनका उल्लंघन होता है। कृपया ये बातें आगे ध्यान में रखियेगा।

Film article duplicates

Hey. I wanted to give you a heads up about a lot of duplicate film articles in existence. See the subcategories of श्रेणी:हिन्दी फ़िल्में वर्षानुसार. I scanned through some of them (mainly the 40s and 60s) and found a lot of duplicates, one type with the name form of filmname (yyyy फ़िल्म) and the other type filmname. Most of the time the former type contained more information than the latter, but since the latter name is what we chose, the latter had to be deleted and the former moved over it. Sometimes, the latter had to be deleted to make way for disambiguation pages. There are probably still tens of merges (redirecting) required, mostly for older films.

Cross-namespace redirects

Hello Ashu. I saw that you redirected Film wiki to विकिपीडिया:विकिपरियोजना फ़िल्म. I appreciate the work you're putting into the wikiproject but this is a cross-namespace redirect (in that it leads from the mainspace to the projectspace). en:Wikipedia:Cross-namespace redirects says new ones shouldn't be created, and I personally agree with it. I don't think we need to or should have redirects from the mainspace to any other namespace. Would it be possible to have this at WP:Film wiki instead? The url isn't that much longer ,and the ASCII-ness of it is maintained. Please consider this. Thanks.

Music in film articles

Hey, I was thinking of adding some music info to film articles, but WP:Film says nothing about music. IIRC, there was a template for track listings. Could you add info about the template, and about how/where to add music in the articles, at the project page? Plus, links to/names of sites that can be considered reliable sources for this stuff would be helpful too. Getting the exact length of the songs can be tough without a ready reference. Well see into that. Already I've imported tracklisting templates and for albums too. Will write that too in Project page. Regarding the length of the songs, it can varry :). Usually one hav to download them n see the duration or check them up on some music site. We dont need references for Duration and tracklisting.
